5 Weeks Old

Maya is liking her baths more - now that we've got the temperature thing worked out a little better! I think I made it a few degrees too hot a couple of times and it didn't go down too well with her. Today must have been perfect temperature, because she was loving her bath. I practiced some leg massage with her out in the sun afterwards. She was very relaxed and then fell asleep easily ... and has stayed asleep for hours today!

Maya and I were sad to miss the Thomson reunion in Seattle last week, but lots of phone calls helped. Grandma Thomson was there from Townsville - and she must have been thrilled to have all 5 of her children together in the one place for the first time in a long while. It seems everyone was there - Mom, Roberto, all my uncles, aunts, great aunt, sister, brother in law and nephew, and lots of cousins. I think Melissa, Aaron, Sue and I were the only ones not in attendance. Oh well, Maya will have to meet all of her family next year when we go over to the States. If only it could be sooner....sigh.

Hi Erica,
Congrats to Maya finding a great mum! Loved the tanned belly and the subtropical garden (I miss the subtropics!) I "bumped" into Martin Reeve online who gave me the blog link. I can't see any private email link so if you've got a chance (I remember tiny baby land and how little time there is for anything else), send me a hoy at jason@ecofaith.org
