Spring has Sprung

In addition to our little Maya, we have lots of new babies to play with on the farm. We've had two foals born recently (finally, an Appaloosa with spots!), and one of our goats, Rosemary, has had a little kid, who we've named Basil. He's very soft and cuddly, and likes to be held like a baby. Maya studies these new additions with great interest (her eyes get VERY big) and reaches out to touch them. I think she may be a horse lover like her Daddy??

Grandpa Royce

My father is visiting from Hawaii for 10 days, and is the first member of my family to see Maya in the flesh. Maya thinks Grandpa Royce is pretty funny - she smiles and laughs at him all the time. We all went to the beach yesterday, and Maya loves her little flowery beach shirt. Her latest thing is to stuff whatever shirt she has on into her mouth, and she particularly likes bright patterns and interesting textures. Stuffing the frills on the bottom of her jeans into her mouth is a tad more difficult, but she still tries regardless.
