Toilet Training

Maya turns 20 months today! She is generally a happy little toddler, and we are really enjoying her company as her abilities to communicate and understand grow daily.

The most exciting thing for Maya at the moment is her little turtle plastic potty bowl. I bought one for her after seeing one at a friend's house recently. Maya must have been ready for toilet training, because she immediately starting running over to use it every time she needed to. She also tells us by smiling and getting all excited and saying 'pee pee!'. I wouldn't say she is toilet trained fully by any means, but is definitely on the way there.

Oh, the things that make news when you have a baby! It's exciting for us because it means less nappy washing and changing (a good thing when it has been wet and rainy for 4 weeks and drying on the line is difficult).
