USA

Well, we made it to California! After 30+ hours of travel (Maya was great, but I am still recovering from jetlag and lack of sleep, though I should be used to the latter?), we have arrived and we are staying with my sister Tammy, brother-in-law Kim and my nephew Rashaan (9). It has been wonderful for my sister to meet my baby finally - and Rashaan and Maya can't get enough of each other. We also met up with my Dad who is staying in Napa at his friend Dick's house (who has kindly loaned us a car for 3 weeks during my sabbatical).
Off to Davis tomorrow (University of California) to meet the people at the Consortium for Women and Research, where I will be based until the 20th April.
