One-Year Old
New Year, New Blog!
Now that Maya is a big one year old, she has decided to start doing quite a few new things. Her latest development is associating the noise of a car with the word 'bye' and the action of waving. Any time she hears a car start, or sees one drive by on the farm, she starts waving frantically and screaming out 'BAAAAHHHHHH' (which I assume means bye!). Her other new thing (though it is a bit random and only happens sometimes) is to clap her hands whenever she hears music or someone singing. Maya also laughs now if she hears others laugh, and shakes her head when others shake their head. Actually, she shakes her head 'no' a lot now, and it can mean anything from 'no' to 'yes' to...well, about anything. We are wondering when nodding will come into play. And finally, her lastest this week is to crawl along on the floor, stop, and then raise one of her legs into the air - like she's doing yoga. She's quite enthralled by this new move of hers.
