New Photos of Maya!
Well, it's clear that me going back to work has significantly slowed my posts on the blog.
So many things have happened in the last couple of months, including Maya starting to walk around the time she turned 15 months old. Now at 17 months (and still a tiny mite at only 8.5 kilos!), she is now a very busy little bee, walking everywhere and loving it. It seems I can't recall a time when she crawled! Maya's favourite new trick is depositing things in other things. She's a bit of a hoarder, we discover. There is a chair in our kitchen which has a cushion on it, and the other day we lifted it up to find a whole raft of missing items, including clothing items, a toothbrush, bits of paper, toys etc etc. Unfortunately, she also likes to drop things into the bath (when it has water in it), into the dog food container, and our all-time favourite- into the composting toilet!! As for vocabulary, everything is about the letter 'b', but it is lucky that so many things start with a b. These are her words: baby, bye bye, Bindi (our dog), and just good old 'beeeeee', which she says for everything else. Oh, and she also says da da now, or daddy, sometimes.
Here are some recent photos of Maya. We've had some visitors lately - my friend Michelle from Townsville (who is about to have her second child), and her 3 year old son Jade, and my Dad, 'Grandpa Royce'. The others are just some cute ones that show Maya's little personality, and her love for water. Someone described her recently as a 'self contained little unit', and it is so true! And determined is another word that describes her Taurean personality well.
